Classical Engagements
Donna began her formal training at the age of 4 in classical piano. The piano has remained the foundation of her musical development, though she found in singing a true passion. Ms. Schaffer remains active as a pianist/music director while maintaining a busy schedule as a vocalist. Donna’s high level of musicianship has helped her to carve out a niche for herself in twentieth century music with its non-traditional harmonies and rhythms. A true connection to the text makes for thoughtful phrasing and a polished performance.
